•Videos of professionals discussing missions
This museum is one of the best air and space Museum's in this region of the country. Many assume there's a bunch of Dusty old relics in here, well yes this is true there's some very interesting other artifacts among them entire launch vehicles like an entire Titan II booster rocket, numerous historical air and space craft both Recreations and actual vehicle. This certainly has been one of the best museums I've visited in sometime. I hope at some point their plans for expansion because that would make it an even more interesting experience. Not sure if they like visitor input but a wing I wish they could add would be an unmanned probe wing. That would also piqued my interest. Thank you though I enjoyed my time and will be certain to come again.
•We went inside of an old war plane. The pilot was a member of a group that who teaches jumping. He was able to share information about the plane with us. He had made over 50 jumps.
•We were able to watch several planes take off and land.
•There were opportunities to ride in several of the airplanes.
I have been here several times, over the last 6 years, with elementary classes. The tour guides have, and share, a wealth of knowledge.
First time there it was really awesome. Had great displays. Plus next weekend Saturday Sept30 ww2 airplanes fly in and admission only five bucks for the day.
•We even got to stand underneath a bomber and look inside the cavity the bombs are dropped from!
•Admisssion, for adults, is only $7, and children, seniors and members are even less.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely. It is a lot bigger than it looks. A lot of information, rockets and planes. We will definitely be back with our grandkids.
•Examples of food and tools used during outterspace missions
The museum has wonderful, educational, intriguing pieces and replicas:
We spent 3 hours at the event, and that time flew by. There was so much to see and do!
•Organization of the event was remarkable.
•Tons of memorabilia from General Stafford himself.
•A couple of cockpits to climb into
I hope to come back again next year. If you're fascinated by the 60s-70s space race/exploration, then you'll love it here. Thanks to the ladies for being such pleasant and helpful host! You made my visit all the more memorable ;P
•Pieces from space missions up close
•A moving engine from an airplane
Most recently we went during an event, "Wings Over Weatherford."
•The volunteers and staff were professional and friendly. They definitely enhanced our experience.
•An interactive "kids" area! (Kids of all ages will enjoy!)
