I order many things through the mail and they are very prompt about delivery.
I called to report a package that never showed up when the tracking number said it had been delivered over a week ago. I told the lady that I never received my package and that I was home all day when it showed it had been delivered so I would have known if it was. She then responded by acting like I was stupid and crazy and saying that it was definitely delivered (telling me the exact date and time it was left at my house) and implied that I was irresponsible for letting them leave it on my porch and that it wasn't their responsibility to look for it because it had already been delivered to me. The next day, my package appeared in my mailbox! I am really upset and disappointed with the way this was handled and I hope the lady sees this and realizes that when something says it was delivered, it doesn't always mean that it has been, and you should look for it instead of being rude!!!!
There was a very rude lady at the front desk that told us she couldn't go grab our package because it was in the back. Instead of helping us she said we would have to wait till tomorrow to receive our package. Very disappointed in my experience with this post office.
I'm fortunate that the Weatherford Post Office is not my local facility. Occasionally, I have to come to this location to deal with passports or something my small town post office can't handle. I rarely accomplish what I'm after in one trip to Weatherford Post Office. I don't have these problems when I go to state gov't offices, the county courthouse, or other post offices. I'm curious what makes Weatherford so difficult.
I guess the TLDR version is that I avoid using this post office unless it's a last minute thing. If I'm shipping something the hour drive to the OKC area is worth it. I've also requested to all the companies I do business with to either ship UPS or FedEx so I get my stuff.
I honestly can not recommend using this post office. The service inside is rather quick with a wait time of only around 5 minutes. Most of the employees seem to be pleasant. After that, it goes South. I ship packages regularly. Usually I can have around 40-50 a week with the values ranging from $150-$2000 per box. There have been numerous occasions where the box has been in the facility for days on end before leaving. Obviously for my customers, this is not okay. I now drive to Yukon quite regularly to ensure that my shipments get to where they are going, when they are supposed to. The Yukon post office has said in the past that they have heard about issues as I'm not the only 1 making that trip. The other issue is the seemingly lack of training for shipping to APO's. I volunteer with a few charities that send care packages to our overseas troops. When I am shipping boxes that I have assembled, or some volunteers have, Weatherford post office hands me a ton of paperwork to fill out with itemizing the contents with weight. Other post offices around the state have a very minimal process and only require a brief description. Care Package Assorted Items is good enough anywhere except Weatherford. My last gripe, is that the mail carriers often misdeliver my mail and packages. I enjoy scavenger hunts and geocaching. What's not fun is playing the game of where is my stuff? The most current example is how I found a box of things that I will sell a block away on the wrong street. That box's tracking required a signature due to the value of it's contents. Not cool. Not cool at all.
